Vocational training content

1. Household cleaning – theory and practice (speed cleaning, different floor surface treatment, carpet structure, spots cleaning, cleaning tools, furniture treatment, antiquities, laundry and ironing, fabric treatment, pets treatment atc.

2. Detergents – chemicals (cleaning agent types, content, usage, types of ecological cleaning substances and other chemicals in the household)

3. Catering (basic cooking and baking skills, rational nourishment, tined food, shopping, food storage and treatment)

4. Dining – theory and practice (dining and dish serving for various occasions, types of dishes and kitchen utensils, household decoration for various occasions)

5. Household tools and appliances – theory and practice (types and usage of household appliances)

6. House keeping and facilities (repairs and maintenance of house exterior, house and flat security, household refuse, basic maintenance work)

7. First aid and work safety (types of injury common in a household, causes, prevention)

8. Household management and economy (appliances energy consumption, household management)

9. Psychology (the role and the position of a housekeeper in a private household)

10. Labour law (rights and duties of a household keeper, legal, accounting and tax rules related to the self-employed workers)

On 13 December 2005 Domestica ltd. was established as an accredited housekeepers trainer by the Czech Ministry of Education, file number 36 656/05-20/803.

Graduates, who successfully pass the final exam, will receive a Nation-wide valid "certificate" proving they have completed the training course.

Course scope: 160 hours + the test
